Planning and Development Agency (PDA), PP5 of the ORIENTATE Project (Interreg NEXT MED Programme), is seeking qualified candidates for Technical Expert assignments under the ORIENTATE Project.
🔹 Project Overview
Total Budget: €2.550,400
EU Contribution: € 2.269,900 (89%)
Programme: Interreg NEXT MED Programme, co-funded by the European Union
Project Duration: 30 months (December 2025 – Jun 2028)
Partner Countries: Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey
In the Mediterranean region, agriculture is vulnerable, and sustainability is always under threat. Drawing inspiration from the innovative practices of pioneering Italian and Spanish partners, cutting-edge circular economy models will be used to revolutionize waste management.
The ORIENTATE project will develop targeted solutions to waste streams generated by olive oil extraction and citrus fruit processing. It will establish three pilot labs in Jordan, Türkiye, and Lebanon, each focusing on converting agricultural by-products like Citrus Pulp Depectinized (CPD) and Olive pomace into animal feed and cosmetics ingredients, promoting a circular economy.
🔹 Assignment Scope
The objective of this assignment is to engage two qualified technical experts to support the implementation of the ORIENTATE project through participation in cross-border knowledge transfer activities and the provision of technical support, training, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination activities related to the adaptation and scaling-up of circular economy solutions in the agricultural sector.
The selected experts will contribute to:
- participation in the Job Shadowing activities in Italy and Spain;
- technical assessment of the observed technologies and practices;
- transferability analysis and adaptation recommendations for local implementation;
- feasibility assessment, pilot implementation, monitoring, and validation activities;
- delivery of knowledge transfer and training activities;
- contribution to stakeholder engagement and cooperation framework discussions related to sustainability, scaling-up perspectives and potential cooperation frameworks, sustainability partnerships, and MoUs.

- Contract Duration:25 months
- Maximum possible gross fee: up to EUR 9,000 (all-inclusive)
- Duty Station:Lebanon, Italy, Spain
