General objective:

The general objectives pursued by the action presented here relate to the typical approach of institutional decentralized cooperation centered on the local development of the capacity to govern endogenous development processes and policies.The action is organized around a strategic partnership between counterpart Local Authorities, basically the Italian Provinces (Torino and Milano) and the Lebanese Federations.This cooperation between institutions in charge of competences towards the municipalities of their territories, is the main characteristic of the exchange and networking that the action supports. 

Specific objective:

The specific objective of the action introduces the sector of intervention chosen and underlines the intention to provide the L.A. beneficiaries and their groups with tools and permanent structures at the service of local participation (public and private) in the development of point of active policies for the improvement of services to citizens, the development of SMIs, the improvement of the quality of life. 

Expected achievements:

– Strengthening of the dialogue and active cooperation between the local governments of Italy and Lebanon and Jordan in the sector of sustainable and participatory urban requalification and establishment and support on this topic of stable triangular partnerships Italy-Lebanon-Jordan.-Application of the principles of good governance for the achievement of sustainable and integrated urban development planning- The project we are proposing aims to create permanent tools to support the transfer of know-how and experience to strengthen local authorities in their project and intervention capacity in the urban requalification sector in order to stimulate the sector. economic 

Target groups:

The target groups of the project are local elected officials, but especially technicians and technical service structures of cities and local partner territorial groups in Lebanon and Jordan.

 Who will benefit?

The final beneficiaries of the project are the populations of the urban neighborhoods concerned by the actions drawn up in the planned intervention projects.
