ENPI CBC MED-Mobil
Although the Mediterranean territories have many cultural and economic similarities, there is a gap in the mobility of students and professionals compared to other areas of the world with less comparable features. The gap is even wider when looking at the intensity of mobility of young people within European Union. Specific EU funded initiatives, such as ERASMUS and Leonardo da Vinci, have demonstrated to be powerful means to boost the mobility of young people eventually leading to the mobility of workers.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
The specific objective of the project is to create a framework of cooperation to support future regulationsand improve/consolidate programmes and initiatives aiming to facilitate the exchange of students, professionals and young entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean. The project will also serve to tests 192 short mobilities in the Mediterranean region.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
– Identified successful EU mobility programs to be implemented in the Mediterranean area
– Proof based framework for the use of policymakers developed as a first step to create a space of exchange and mobility in the Mediterranean area truly open to all, and especially to young people
– Four ‘MED Mobility’ offices established in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine to support mobility programs and cross-cultural exchanges
– 192 students, researchers, professionals, unemployed people and young entrepreneurs involved in pilot mobility actions

MED-MOBIL intends to create a framework of cooperation that aims to facilitate the exchange of the:

FINANCIAL DATA:
· Total budget: € 1.560.000
· Program contribution: € 1.404.000 (90%)
· Project co-financing: € 156.000 (10%)

Duration 24 months (From January 2014 – Till December 2015)
