Youth MED-Capacity
This project has worked to enhance awareness of youth of the euro-Mediterranean countries about the role and importance of the culture of reconciliation, conflict resolution and human rights protection and democratization in a multiethnic world.
General objectives:
The Overall objectives of this project is to improve young actors’ cultural capacities in order to promote democratization, human rights, reconciliation both in the context of fragmented country and between different countries.
Specific objectives:
The Specific objectives of this project: Enhance the capacity and level of participation of civil society in governance processes; and to provide professionalization paths and cultural skills for youth and young women.

Achieved activities:
We have communicated with our partner Centre for Research on the Economics of Institutions (CREI) to prepare the plan of the exchange activity and determine the number of participants, materials and subjects for discussing. So we have selected 16 participants: 6 participants from CREI (3 professors & 3 students) and 10 participants from Lebanon (1 expert, 1 Journalist & 8 students)
We have organized 2 meetings: The first one in Beirut (8 days) & the second one in Hermel (2 days)
During these 2 meetings we ensured to promote dialogue between Italian and Lebanese participants & we focused on the all common ideas.
We have built a strong capacity for all participants about how to accept others, peace, conflicts and violence to be an access of starting together hand by hand to pass all the barriers of difference in cultures, minds & civilizations
Also we have discussed an important subject for all the world: the terrorism
Finally we have prepared a new concept note project in order to target Lebanese youth and submit it to UNDEF (needs for Lebanese and Italian youth).
